Silent Chroma is a 252-page book featuring a portfolio of hundreds of black and white images I have taken over the years. Many of the very first images I had taken when starting my journey into photography 17 years ago were black and white film, processed and then printed in the darkroom all by hand. This entire process was one of the things that really sparked my huge interest in photography, though I didn't know it would become my passion, and then later in life become my career. Unfortunately, many of my original photos from those years were lost, but there were a few that I have held onto. Some of those, among many others, will be featured in this book.
Something about black and white photography has always felt so personal to me, and tells stories with such different feeling than color photographs. I love both for what they are, and can't say that I could ever really pick one over the other, but to me, they are both their own. One is not better at telling a story than the other, they just have their own unique way of doing so.
